Introduction
MyBohemianCove.com wants to provide a free, fun, and open community for spiritual, metaphysical, philosophical, and esoteric discussions. We also must protect our members and staff. The following rules have been adopted to keep everyone's experience the most positive it can be. We appreciate your understanding and co-operation in keeping the MyBohemianCove Community a highly regarded forum for the types of discussions found here.
Moderators, Super Moderators, Administrators, and Staff.
MyBohemianCove online community engages in the use of moderators, super moderators, and administrators to help enforce the rules of this community, to monitor and participate in discussions, and to promote relevant products or services that are offered by Bohemian Cove in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA or via http://www.MyBohemianCove.com/.
- Who Are They? All Administrators are actual staff members at Bohemian Cove and should be regarded appropriately. Moderators and super moderators are not Bohemian Cove staff but are community members who have proven to be reliable, knowledgeable, and responsible and have agreed to help monitor this online community.
- Respect Them. Please remember that our monitoring staff and volunteers are people too. They are entitled to the same consideration and respect that is given to you and all other members of this community.
- Judgment Calls. There will be occasions where monitoring staff will have to use their own judgment about an issue that is not covered in these rules. They are authorized to do this and encouraged to discuss it with their peers in the community before taking action.
If you have an issue with a particular post or member, please send a private message to a Moderator, or click on the Report Post icon on the relevant post. You may even complete our contact form at http://www.mybohemiancove.com/contact.html to explain the problem to us. Please do not start new threads complaining about members or other posts. These will be either removed or closed.
"Bad Words" Filters.
Word filters are in place to censor profanity and vulgar words. When you type a word that is included in the "Bad Words" filter list, the editor will automatically be replaced with one of the following: ~NAMASTE~, ~OM~, or ~SHANTI~. Any member caught trying to bypass the word filter system in order to post a word or phrase that is unacceptable may have their membership suspended in accordance with our banning rules. Repeating this conduct may result in a permanent ban from the MyBohemianCove Online Community on this website.
Signatures.
MyBohemianCove Community users are allowed to have signatures that automatically apply to their posts and replies. User signatures may not contain more than 1 link to an external website. External links in personal signatures MUST comply with the "External Links" rules below.
External Links.
External links (links to other websites) in your personal signature in this community or in your posts in this community cannot be links to commercial websites. A commercial website, for the purposes of these rules, is defined as any online media that sell any type of product or charges a fee for any type of service. The aforementioned "online media" includes links to websites, forums, email addresses, social media, or any device or content in which you. another person, or a business is charging for any type of product or service.
This community is not a place for advertising products or services that are not provided by Bohemian Cove in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. If you are unsure whether or not a link is appropriate and okay for posting, please contact a Moderator or Administrator via private message or by visiting our http://www.mybohemiancove.com/contact.html. Repeated offenses of this rule may result in a permanent ban from this online community.
Advertising.
Advertising is currently not permitted in the MyBohemianCove online community. Blatant advertising will result in a warning, and persistent advertising will be treated as spamming which will result in a permanent ban from this online community.
Discussions.
Members are reminded that the MyBohemianCove online community is a place for sharing and for discussion - it is not a place for heated debates. Debates are destructive and tend to destroy reasoned arguments. Discussions, on the other hand, are constructive and allow healthy reasoned arguments that allow all sides to share their opinions. MyBohemianCove Administrators and Moderators want you to have discussions that are polite and allow all sides to be heard. "Trolling" and "preaching" are not forms of discussion and will not be tolerated. Posts deemed to be debating/trolling/preaching will be deleted and repeat offenses of this rule may result in short-term or even permanent banning from this community.
Respect and Manners.
- The Standard. Respect for others is MANDATORY in the MyBohemianCove online community. Please respect other members and staff as well as their beliefs, opinions, and views at all times.
- Politeness. Also, we ask that you always be polite to other members and practice appropriate manners toward others at all times.
- Unacceptable Behavior. Aggression, disrespect, baiting, flaming, homophobia, racism, name-calling (this includes calling people trolls or accusing them of trolling), belittling, sarcasm, bullying, gossiping, and any other things intended to cause harm are all unacceptable behavior.
- Disciplinary Action. Persistent violations of these rules, despite reminders and warnings, will result in temporary or even permanent banning from this online community. If, however, the breach of the above rule is considered too severe, Community Administrators or Super Moderators may, at their discretion, forego both the reminders and warnings and immediately ban the offending user.
Please do not use web links, email addresses. or full names as usernames. Members with usernames of this nature will be asked to change it immediately and may have their community privileges suspended until it is changed. Do not post your personally identifying information or the identifying information of other people including full names, email addresses, physical addresses, and phone numbers. Doing so may result in short-term or even permanent banning from this community.
Multiple Accounts.
Only one (1) MyBohemianCove Community account is allowed per person. Multiple accounts are not allowed and will result in additional accounts being banned from this community. If there is more than one person in your household, using the same internet service or the same computer from the same location as you, please notify a staff member that there are multiple users so we do not think there are multiple accounts on your internet address. You may send this notification by completing our contact form at http://www.mybohemiancove.com/contact.html and selecting the Multiple Account Request option.
Harassment.
Every member of the MyBohemianCove community is entitled to participate in this community WITHOUT harassment. Any harassment of any kind within this online community should be reported to Administrators immediately via private message or by visiting the contact page at http://www.mybohemiancove.com/contact.html and choosing the Report an Online Community User option. Harassment will be dealt with swiftly and discreetly and may result in temporary or permanent banning from this online community.
Ignore Function. Every member of this online community has an ‘ignore this member’ function. We recommend you use it when you feel the need to do so.
Prohibited Topics.
- General Prohibited Topics. MyBohemianCove promotes open and honest discussion; however, we do not promote or condone discussion of the following topics unless there is a specific forum for such topics to be discussed: drug use, alcohol abuse, use of any other illegal substance, graphic sexuality, pornography, and/or any illegal activity.
- Sexuality. Sexuality can be discussed, in the appropriately labeled categories, in a tasteful manner, as it relates to spirituality and should be discussed with tact and consideration of the sensitivities of others.
- Death Predictions. DO NOT make predictions of death in any posts in any categories in this online community. Posts of this type will be removed and participating community members will be subject to temporary or permanent banning from this online community.
- Dangerous Practices. For the safety of all MyBohemianCove online community members, discussion of any practice which may be harmful or otherwise detrimental to mind, body, or spirit is NOT PERMITTED including topics such as fasting for long periods of time, sun gazing, taking harmful substances, and other topics as deemed dangerous by MyBohemianCove Staff and Community Moderators or Administrators. Posts that discuss practices deemed to be dangerous by MyBohemianCove Administrators will be removed and participating community members will be subject to temporary or permanent banning from this online community.
- Medical Advice. Posts that could be interpreted as medical advice, especially posts that may discourage a member from visiting their health care professional, from following the advice of a health care professional, or from taking drugs that were prescribed for them by a health care professional will NOT BE TOLERATED. Whether you are a health care professional or not, the MyBohemianCove online community IS NOT the place for such posts. Posts that fall into this category will be removed and participating community members will be subject to temporary or permanent banning from this online community.
- Personal Affairs. Personal affairs, especially those that are negative, including disputes from other forums, disputes on this forum, private arguments from your personal life, and personal feelings about other members, should NEVER be brought into this community. This type of behavior will result in warnings and possibly temporary or permanent banning from this online community.
- Fearmongering. Posting content that may cause fear or even panic amongst members is strictly prohibited. Posts of this type will be removed and participating community members will be subject to temporary or permanent banning from this online community.
- Politics, Politicians, and Conspiracy Theories. Generally speaking, discussion of politics (past or present), politicians (past or present), and conspiracy theories (also past or present) is STRONGLY discouraged in the public community. If such discussions are had, please keep them to appropriately labeled threads and do not interject these topics into non-related categories, forums, or discussion threads. Posts of this type will be removed and participating community members will be subject to temporary or permanent banning from this online community.
- Disciplinary Action. Posts that discuss these inappropriate topics and persistently violate the "prohibited topics| rules will be removed and participating community members will be subject to temporary or permanent banning from this online community.
Most members of the MyBohemianCove online community do not have the necessary training or qualifications to respond safely and appropriately to those who are considering suicide. To ensure that you do not say something that could negatively affect someone in that state of mind, it is best that you not engage them other than to offer a phone number or website link where they can receive help. We cannot, in good conscience, allow discussions about a member's suicidal ideations to remain in the community posts, and therefore said posts will be deleted.

Please be mindful that this is a family-friendly online community. Posted images must not depict violence of any kind, abuse of any kind, death of any kind, distasteful nudity, or pornography. Always keep in mind that what is funny to one member may be disturbing to other members. If the image is not rated G, PG, or PG-13, DO NOT POST IT! Breaches of this rule will result in warnings and reminders and may eventually result in temporary or permanent banning from this online community.
Mentors and Teachers
MyBohemianCove does not permit mentors and teachers who are not Bohemian Cove staff members, paid or otherwise, to work within this online community. We cannot vouch for anyone who is not a member of our staff who claims to be a mentor or teacher and therefore enforce a strict not-under-any-circumstances policy. Anyone discovered to be mentoring/teaching, or trying to coerce our members into joining such groups off-site in the real world, either within the posts of this online community or via private message will be banned with no warning.
COVID-19 (and Other Pandemics)
Discussion around COVID 19 and any other pandemics that happen along will be closely monitored. Make sure that these discussions stay friendly and relevant and do not descend into the more of politics. We strongly encourage you to focus such conversations around energy in you're personal life and experiences.
Asking For Donations
- Online Crowdfunded Fundraisers. MyBohemianCove does not allow community members to post links to their fundraising events without prior permission from a community Administrator. Such requests should be made via http://www.MyBohemianCove.com/contact.html and should include a description of why funds are being raised, a link to the fundraising campaign, and an explanation of for whom the funds are being raised. Administrators will let you know via email if Bohemain Cove will allow the link or not.
- Direct Donations. Asking for direct donations from community members via money transfer apps, wire transfer, mailed cash/checks/etc, or any other direct means (does not involve an online fundraising website) is strictly prohibited. Posts of this type will be removed and participating community members will be subject to temporary or permanent banning from this online community.
Please do not moderate other members. That is why we have moderators and administrators. If you feel that someone or someone's post needs to be moderated, please contact a moderator or administrator by private message.
Copy-Paste Text (aka "Quoting".
If you are quoting material from other websites or sources, no more than three lines of relevant text should be quoted accompanied by the author's name, the name of the source document/website, and, provided that the source is not a commercial website (see above) a link to the source website. Quotes from religious texts such as the Bible or Quran must also be no more than three lines and should include the name of the source document and a specific reference where the quoted text is found (ie; chapter and verse, etc) Posts that quote or copy-paste more than one or two short lines of text will be removed or edited. Membership Deletion/Deactivation/Reactivation.
Account Deactivation. MyBohemianCove.com does not delete Member accounts. However, if you feel teel that you no longer wish to participate in our online community, you may request to have your account deactivated. There is no waiting period for deactivation, so be sure you no longer wish to be a member of our online community before you send a deactivation request. Following is the protocol for deactivating your account.

- Send a request asking that your account be deactivated.
- If our staff has any questions regarding your deactivation, they will contact you by email.
- When MyBohemianCove staff is confident that you wish to deactivate your account, your request will be forwarded to our WebGuru.<*>A Community Administrator will deactivate your account at their earliest convenience.<

- Choose Reactivate an Online Community Account.
- Send a request asking that your account be deactivated.
- If our staff has any questions regarding your deactivation, they will contact you by email.
- When MyBohemianCove staff is confident that you wish to deactivate your account, your request will be forwarded to our WebGuru.<*>A Community Administrator will Reactivate your account at their earliest convenience.
- NOTE: THERE IS AN AUTOMATIC 14 DAY WAIT FROM THE LAST DATE OF DEACTIVATION before a community account will be reactivated. <*>
If you deactivate your MyBohemianCove.com online community members and leave the community, all of your threads and posts are the property of MyBohemianCove.com and will still be visible to other members and to guests who visit the community.<*>Frequent Deactivate/Activate Requests. If you make deactivate/activate requests frequently, your account will be considered for permanent deactivation and banning of your IP Address from the MyBohemianCove online community. Such drastic disciplinary action will not be taken without communication between you and our staff. Please ensure that your deactivation requests are not simply emotional responses to other members or to content in the community.
Thread Deletion.
When you post something in the MyBohemianCove online community it becomes property of Bohemian Cove, LLC. You, as a member of this community, cannot delete conversation threads in this community. If you would like to request that a thread be reviewed and considered for deletion, you may do so by visiting http://www.MyBohemianCove.com/contact.html. There is an option on the form to "Request Thread Deletion".
Terms of Use, Privacy, and Disclaimer

Right to Revoke and Delete.
- MyBohemianCove.com reserves the right to revoke the membership of any member for any reason at any time. This is especially true for members who violate these rules.
- MyBohemianCove.com also reserves the right to delete any thread from this online community for any reason at any time. Actions of this type may or may not include notification of the activity to the offending community member.
